Is there a “Bad Weather Policy”?
Yes, HK has a sub-tropical climate and is prone to Typhoons between May and November.
In the case of extremely inclement weather, all events will be cancelled if the Hong Kong Observatory announces that the Red or Black Rainstorm Signal is hoisted or the Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal: T8, T9, or T10 is hoisted.
Special note for the Free Central Walk – If Hong Kong Observatory announces that the Amber Rainstorm Signal is hoisted, the Free Central Walk will automatically be cancelled for safety reasons. If the Thunderstorm Signal is hoisted, please check your email and our Facebook to see if your tour is affected.

What time do I need to show up?
It’s always a jam-packed event, so we ask guests to arrive 5 minutes early to ensure we are ready to go right at the event start time.
Are there any unforeseeable circumstances that would lead to an event/walk cancellation?
We endeavour to ensure that all events run and operate as smoothly as possible; however, there could be unforeseeable circumstances that might lead to an event cancellation.
If in the event of an extenuating circumstance that would lead to a sudden event cancellation, it will be announced on our Facebook & Instagram no later than 1 hour prior to the event start time. We recommend you to follow and check either Facebook and/or Instagram prior to your event start time for good practice. It will also be posted on our website.
What’s the refund policy?
If the minimum number of guests for the event is not met, we will notify guests 24 hours in advance of the event start time and date and simply refund you in full.
Event cancellations are made only through an email request to: email@example.com.
If you cancel at least 7 day(s) (calculated from your confirmed event start time and date) in advance of the scheduled departure, there is no cancellation fee.
If you cancel between 3 and 6 day(s) in advance of the scheduled departure, there is a 50 percent cancellation fee.
If you cancel within 2 day(s) of the scheduled departure, there is a 100 percent cancellation fee.
Please be understanding in the fact that the vendors we work with only have a limited number of supplies, time & resources; therefore, your cancellation could result in a cancellation of the entire event if we do not meet the minimum quantity of guests.

FREE CENTRAL WALK FAQS
How much walking is there?
The Free Central Walk is around 3 hours long, entirely outdoors and covers 3-5km. Guests must be responsible for ensuring that their level of personal fitness is suitable for the walk. Please consult your doctor if you have any doubts of your physical condition and fitness in attending the walk.
Is there a washroom break during the Walk?
Yes, around an hour or so into the walk, we will have a pit stop with relatively clean toilets. Not squats.
Are reservations required for the Free Central Walk?
Reservations are highly encouraged. That way, we can gauge the group size in advance to ensure we have the appropriate number of ambassadors to guests. You can reserve here now.
Does the Free Central Walk run year round?
For the most part, the walk runs year round, through pouring rain and intense sun. If there are specific days that the walk is not available due to the unavailability of the walk ambassadors, it will be denoted on our calendar at least 1 month in advance. ULTIMATE DINING EXPERIENCE ON A SAMPAN BOAT FAQS
Can we change the dinner menu?
The menu is set by the restaurant & is based on the number of guests; therefore, the more guests, the more dishes we will get. You will get at least 6 courses of seafood, which will be more than enough food to have everybody feeling very stuffed and chuffed. Not to mention, there will be a bottle of Chinese Hua Diao wine for the table as a complimentary gift from us.
Is this event suitable for everybody?
Unfortunately it is not. Please note that this event involves boarding a boat and tram; therefore, it is not recommended for guests in pushchairs or wheelchairs.
As we will be on a sampan fishing boat for around 2 hours, this may also not be suitable for very young children. In addition, guests that get motion sickness easily, have shellfish allergies, or dislike seafood are not advised to attend the event as well. Not to worry, we have plenty of other unique adventures that you can participate. Please check out our other tours.
Can we register for the tour first and pay later?
As we are renting out one sampan and there are only 12 spots; hence, we can only guarantee your spot only after we have received your payment in full. You will receive a confirmation email from us after your completion of payment and that means you’ve secured your booking!
Holy cow – this is one of your most expensive events. What gives?
Yes, this is one of our most expensive event and for a couple of reasons. The restaurant we will visit is one of the last remaining floating sampan restaurants in Hong Kong and they only have a limited number of sampans. We are renting the sampan for 2 hours for dinner and the dinner is entirely of fresh, high quality seafood. The dinner will have 6+ more courses and varieties of seafood.
There are a number of dishes which may look unfamiliar to you, but do not worry, we will be there every bite of the way to help explain what everything is, how to eat it, and which sauce to dip it in!
What is the minimum and maximum number of guests per event?
The minimum number of guests for the Ultimate Dining Experience on a Sampan Boat is 2 and the maximum number is 8 for safety reasons. As this event only runs once a week, we would encourage you to book as soon as you can to secure a spot. If you have more than 8+ people in your party, please enquire with us so we can make special arrangements in accommodating your group size.
Can this event be run on another day?
If you have a party of 4+ people, we may be able to arrange this event on another day that is convenient to all the parties involved. Please enquire with us so we can make arrangements.
Is there a washroom on the sampan boat?
There is; however, there is very little privacy. We will make a washroom stop right before embarking on the sampan to ensure that everybody has a happy & empty bladder.
What should I wear for this event?
Please note that you will be on a boat out on the waters for around 2 hours; therefore, please dress in layers and accordingly (ie. make sure you can be warm in the winter and cool in the summer).
